Annual Events

• 4th Annual Concert In The Park @ Glenn, MI
May 27, 2017: 4th Annual Summer Concert in the Park on Saturday, May 27, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 p.m., at the Glenn Square in downtown Glenn, located on 114th Avenue, east of Blue Star Highway. A Folk/Rock Trio featuring Linda Marie Smith accompanied by Eugenia Elliott and Rob Arendt will provide the evening s entertainment. The Concert is free of charge and the chicken dinner is offered for $12 per person, which includes roasted chicken, baked beans, and potato salad. If preferred, attendees may bring their own adult beverage and are also encouraged to bring their own seating.

The Concert In the Park is a collaborative effort among The Glenn Square Committee and community members in and around Glenn to raise funds for the continued enhancement of the Glenn Square. The Glenn Square is an ongoing effort with a goal to beautify the area and provide a space for community members and visitors to gather, relax and enjoy the local heritage.

Glenn, Michigan, located between Saugatuck and South Haven, is a lakeshore community rich in history, a strong sense of community and love of agriculture and the arts. Known as the Pancake Town since 1937, Glenn is a must-visit for all. For additional information, visit

• Memorial Day Parade
May 29, 2017: Come join us for our annual memorial day parade downtown South Haven. Fire trucks, local pageant winners and much more! The parade will kick off at 9am, beginning at Center Street and Michigan Avenue and continuing to Phoenix Street to Bailey Avenue, then north on Bailey to Lakeview Cemetery where a ceremony will take place around 9:45am. At 1pm, there will be a sloppy-joe lunch, free of charge, at the American Legion!

• 18th Annual Kruizin' for Kylie - South Haven Car Festival
June 3, 2017: Annual Charity car show held downtown South Haven which drawing 200+ cars and trucks (and bikes are welcome). The shows main goal is raising funds for cystic fibrosis by supporting Hunt For a Cure. The mission of the Hunt for a Cure organization is to assist with the funding to cure or control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life of those with the disease. •  Michigan Flywheelers Annual Swap Meet & Flea Market
June 9 & 10, 2017: Like to buy, sell or trade? Then visit this one-of-a-kind outdoor flea market where you can find all sorts of treasures! Antiques! Furniture! Crafts! Household Items! Tractor & Engine Parts! Garden Items! Books! Knick-Knacks! Jewelry and more! Something for everyone! Only $2 per person! Children 12 years and younger free with adult. Gates open at 8am. • Antique & Classic Boat Show
June 17 - 18, 2017: The Michigan Maritime Museum presents the 36th Antique & Classic Boat Show during Harbor Fest weekend in South Haven. This event celebrates all kinds of antique and classic small craft from power boats to paddle boats. Woodworkers and collectors alike will show their boats, demonstrations on boat building techniques will be featured, and toy boat building will be available for kids. Our aim is to help perpetuate the building, restoration, and use of classic boats and small craft and to give participants and the public an entertaining and informative learning experience. Fun for the whole family! $10 Adults, $5 Kids (5 and under free). 10am - 4pm.

• HarborFest
June 16-18, 2017: Enjoy the weekend along the riverfront. Craft fair, kids activities, food, and free concerts happening all weekend. Fun for the whole family! Downtown South Haven.

• Paws on Parade - Furry 5K
June 18, 2017: Al-Vanís Harborfest Furry 5K is a fundraiser for the Al-Van Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter, located in South Haven. Participants can run/walk with their pet, as long as they are leashed, up to date on vaccines and sign a pet waiver. Register Early!! The Al-Van Humane Society Furry 5K will be closed after 400 registered participants. Time: 8am. • Cottage Walk
June 24, 2017: Spend a lovely summer afternoon touring 5-6 summer cottages & homes in the South Haven Area. Tickets sold in various downtown shops and at the South Haven Visitors Bureau (546 Phoenix Street). Refreshments served in Dyckman Park (across from City Hall). Tickets also sold at the park on the day of the Cottage Walk. $15. Noon - 5pm.

• Annual Summer Art Fair Weekend
July 2 - 3, 2017: Works of art from local artists, as well as artists from surrounding states, will be on display & for sale in Stanley Johnston Park starting at 10am. Free Admission. For additional information call the South Haven Center for the Arts @ (269) 637-1041.

• Fireworks: Light up the Lake!
July 3, 2017: See one of the best fireworks displays on the Lake Michigan and listen to the Light Up The Lake soundtrack LIVE on SuperHits 103.7 COSY-FM! The fireworks shoot off synchronized to the music! Approximately 10:30pm on the Lakefront.

• 4th of July Parade
July 4, 2017: South Haven's 4th of July Parade is held annually in downtown South Haven. The parade begins at South Haven High School and proceeds north on Kalamazoo St, east on Huron, south on Broadway, west on Michigan and south on Center St. back to the High School. Prime viewing area in downtown is along Huron St. (near the Pavilion). Starts promptly at 11am. For information on participating in the parade, contact coordinator John Deschaine at 637-1121.

• Steelheaders Annual Fish Boil
July 15, 2017: Enjoy a delicious Great Lakes Fish Boil dinner at the Michigan Maritime Museum. This annual event is a fundraiser for the Museum where local organizations and businesses come together to donate everything from the food to tablecloths. 100% of the proceeds help the Museum! Join us for this family fun event from 5-8pm. Tickets are $10 per plate. $5 Kids 5 and under. Don't miss this delicious summer meal with a great view of the harbor!

• Garden Club Walk
July 15, 2017: This festival features five area gardeners that kindly open up their private landscapes for ticket holders to stroll through and view. The Bailey Museum is generally the hub for the activities, from ticket buying, refreshments and our popular Boutique Sale. This sale includes garden crafts items, vintage items, botanical personal care products, plus annual and perennial plants. 10am - 4pm.

• Boat Building 4-Day Class
July 25 - 29, 2017: Each season, the Michigan Maritime Museum offers in-house Boat Building classes. These classes have featured a variety of wooden boats and teach students some basic boat building skills. At the end of the class, students take home their project. For more info call 269-637-8078.

• National Blueberry Festival
August 10 - 13, 2017: 54th Annual National Blueberry Festival. Kid's Carnival, 5K Run/Walk, Pie Eating Contest, Arts & Crafts Fair, Riverfront Concerts, Parade, Vegas Night and more! Fun for the entire family. For more information visit

• Annual Boat Walk
August 19, 2017: The 4th Annual Boat Walk will feature a variety of stunning vessels docked here in South Haven harbor. Set up like a home tour, your tickets gets you on all of the participating vessels for a chance to meet the owners/captains and check out above and below decks. You also get admission to the Museum! This is your chance to go aboard many vessels you've only dreamed about. Tickets are $15 per person. 12:00pm - 4:00pm @ Michigan Maritime Museum.

• All-Crafts Fair Weekend
September 2 - 3, 2017: The Annual All-Crafts Fair Weekend at South Haven's scenic Stanley Johnston Park. Hundreds of exhibitors of fine arts, crafts, and food. 10am - 5pm (Sat & Sun). For more information, call (269) 637-5171.

• Michigan Flywheelers Museum Antique Engine & Tractor Show
September 7 - 10, 2017: One of the largest annual "Antique Engine and Tractor Shows" in the state of Michigan. Come out and see how a group of volunteers restores and preserves antique gas and steam engines and tractors. For more information, call (269) 639-2010.

• 4-Day Boat Building Class (Fall)
September 12 - 16, 2017: Each season, the Michigan Maritime Museum offers in-house Boat Building classes. These classes have featured a variety of wooden boats & teach students some basic boat building skills. At the end of the class, students take home their project. • South Haven Jazz Festival
September 15 & 16, 2017: South Haven Jazz Festival -- Join us @ Downtown South Haven at the Pavilion Park across from City Hall for this free admission event! Wine will be available. Presented with pleasure by Foundry Hall. For more info email

• South Haven Farm Market Opens!
May 6, 2017: The Farm Market is a diverse marketplace offering fresh produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, herbs, plants, etc. grown and produced locally. The farm market will be open Wednesdays, 8 AM - 2 PM until August 30, 2017 and Saturdays, 8 AM - 2 PM through October 14, 2017.
